DOLPHIN-MIP
One of the assumptions of DOLPHIN employment in multinational environment is the provision of information exchange and service supply capability, which is commonly denoted as interoperability. Nowadays, there are activities within NATO emphasizing the interoperability solution according to MIP (Multilateral Interoperability Programme).
Basics for MIP specification implementation were the preliminary analysis and design of the MIP block 3.0 realization both from application point of view, and from the view of the platform, security, communications realization, etc.
MIP block 3.0 realization in DOLPHIN-MIP started in 2007. Many tests were conducted during period 2008-2010. Tests via Internet with MTRS testing system (MIP Test Reference System) and with other nations and their systems were accomplished. Several tests were made within the exercises Combined Endeavour a Combined Warrior Interoperability Demonstration.
During all of the mentioned tests has been demonstrated that DOLPHIN-MIP holds required capabilities and characteristics. DOLPHIN-MIP has been evaluated as a very stable and fully interoperable with other national C2IS.

Realization
MIP has been implemented according to the MIP block 3.0 specifications. It includes both DEM (Data Exchange Mechanism) and MEM (Message Exchange Mechanism), which uses the mail server MS Exchange. Whole system has been developed in the environment of MS .NET Framework 2.0.
By the means of system applications and with the model JC3IEDM and MIP rules for working with the object knowledge it is possible to create any battlefield object. The DOLPHIN-MIP contains user applications too, which enable to work with plans and orders, organization structures, persons, means, facilities, events and tasks, overlay and other elements, that are expected by JC3IEDM model and MIP specifications.
